Republicans have rejected extending the $600 enhanced unemployment benefits that expire for roughly 30 million Americans this weekend. It will offer liability protections for businesses and more aid for small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program. Poligon and 183 organizations sent a letter to Senate leadership to include legislative language in the fourth COVID-19 legislative package that would direct U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to automatically, and at no cost, extend employment authorization documents (EADs) and the underlying status for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, and all other work-authorized immigrants.
