DALAAL JABER
POLICY & ADVOCACY ASSOCIATE

Dalaal Jaber
is a Palestinian American lawyer experienced in international law, human rights advocacy, strategy building, and policy implementation. She had the advantage of exploring divergent legal cultures, having recently lived in France, Palestine, and the Netherlands in addition to the United States. She trained at renowned non-profit organizations, including the International Center for Transitional Justice in New York and the United Nations Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague.

Before joining Poligon Education Fund, Dalaal offered legal consultation and developed governmental action plans in cooperation with civil society partners and UN stakeholders at the Palestinian Ministry of Women’s Affairs. Her work involved identifying difficulties undergone by women in conflict territories and providing policy recommendations to tackle these difficulties and set humanitarian responses. She also worked as a Research Assistant at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she conducted extensive legal research on the inherent racism and institutionalized marginalization of communities within the U.S. legal system.

Dalaal holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (2020) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Al Quds University in East Jerusalem (2017). She graduated with honors and was valedictorian of her class. She is bilingual in Arabic and English. She hopes to continue combating prejudice through her work at Poligon Education Fund and is delighted at the opportunity to support the Muslim American community.
