Poligon presented at the Townhall Dialogue Series - DC activist training titled "Turning Point:Organizing Muslim Communities for Change." It was great to see so many people interested in learning how to make an impact for good.
Poligon President Wardah Khalid joined the "Voices of Muslim Women" panel at The George Washington University's Islam Awareness Week, where she discussed her experience working at a faith based lobby and how her observation of a lack of political engagement among Muslims motivated her to join with others and establish Poligon.
Wardah gave a keynote address at the University of Texas in Austin, where she discussed how Poligon empowers Muslims and allies to get politically engaged on issues they care about.
Wardah also spoke on CGTN America about the rise in anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim hate crimes in the U.S., what our government should do about it, and the problem with President Trump using the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism."
